Import Students
After importing schools, teachers and classes you can import your students. These files can be large and if your file has more than 10,000 rows, we recommend splitting the file and importing students in batches.
Note that class is required information so that students can get enrolled in their classes. If you have students without classes in your file, as a workaround you can create a temporary class in TypeTastic and enroll these students to it. Once the import process is complete, go to school view and delete the temporary class to unenroll students from it. After that teachers can enroll these students in their classes (see our article about Enrolling Students to class).
Once your account is rostered, teachers can print out usernames and passwords of the students enrolled in their classes. Teachers can also view student passwords in plain text in the user settings and reset them when needed.
Google and Office 365 Sign In
To use Google or Office 365 Sign In, user accounts with matching email needs to be created in TypeTastic in advance (read our articles about Different TypeTastic Login Options.)
IMPORTANT!
If a student in your CSV file already has an account in TypeTastic with the same username, their data will get updated to what you have in the CSV file (see our article about Updating User Data with CSV Upload). This may result in resetting their password if their teacher has changed it.
To import students to your classes, prepare a CSV file with these columns:
